about

This, like Necropolis, is a drawn-out, exploratory affair. This one begins very open and searching, but develops the same theme throughout (which is essentially a two note descending motif), later becoming very unified and cohesive. That’s the thing about improvisation- sometimes you think you have one thing, but if given the space to breathe and grow it can become something else. At first the puzzle pieces are scattered, but eventually you can find where they fit. Because of its searching quality, it feels like those times when fear is nagging at the back of your mind. You try not to think about it but it seems to linger, just at the edge of conscious thought.
